Dream Big India
Entre Club is pleased to announce that its annual entrepreneurship summit "Dream Big India 2010" will be held on 12th and 13th January, 2010. The idea of this event is to redefine the word 'entrepreneurship' by giving it a broader meaning - a one that encompasses economic, social, cultural and political spheres, by recognizing change-agents working in these areas as entrepreneurs. We aim to achieve this objective through our various events - Aarohan, I am the change film festival, Srijan, Jagriti : Ek samasya ek samadhan, and thorough interactive sessions and workshops with entrepreneurs and change-makers.
Aarohan is a business idea competition with a difference. Participating teams are asked to come up with business plans in any of the four themes - Secondary education from Class 5 to 10, Healthcare, Tourism and Women Entrepreneurs. Our partner organizations and mentors will diligently evaluate teams' plans and take deserving ideas further by providing mentoring and funding.
"I am the change film festival" is a way of celebrating the contributions made by everyday heroes and change-makers who go unnoticed. It is an endeavor to use the power of media in broadcasting the achievement of everyday heroes in this country, and celebrating the joy of selfless service. As part of this film festival, several short films on local heroes will be screened. In addition, several social organizations will share their journey with us by way of seminars and workshops.
Srijan is an event for promoting grassroots innovations. In collaboration with National Innovation Foundation, we aim to bring into focus several grassroots innovations which have the potential of creating new business entities. We are providing a list of ten such innovations, and asking participating teams to come up with business ideas to weave enterprises around them.
Jagriti : Ek samasya ek samadhan is an event aimed at promoting civic consciousness among Ahmedabad residents. Participating teams are asked to identify civic problems that Ahmedabad city is facing and come up with creative and cost-effective solutions for solving the problem. We endeavor to get the best solutions implemented by partnering with city municipal authorities.
